The regular season of the Andersen League has been very successful for our team, we have only failed to win two games so far. One of them was the home meeting against the Wolves of South Buda, so now we had to test for the return match on the road.

The home team dictated a tight tempo from the beginning, and only in the second half of the first period we managed to take the lead through Márk Nagy. Exactly 7 seconds later! Richárd Horváth increased our lead to 2:0.

In the middle of the game, despite their penalties, the Wolves managed to erode our lead with a double from Fekecs. Majoross was able to give us the lead again in the 35th minute. but Stefánek scored the equaliser in the break of the period, and then Suoraniemi scored the consolation goal of this 20 minutes with 1 second left before the break.

Fortunately, a rejuvenated Győr team was able to take the ice for the final period (there was also a goalie change Replaced by Butcher Szelest), we flooded the capital’s goal with a lot of shots, which they couldn’t even defend, Bence Makovics, Márk Nagy and Richárd Horváth left no question about the winner, and Filipp Nesterov scored an empty net goal to set the final score.

With a shaky performance, but with a big heart, we managed to beat the Wolves, and we were one win away from the title of the best team of the regular season! Go UNI GYŐR ETO!
