As the regular season of the Andersen League draws to a close, we were the guests of the MAC Icons at the Kisstadion on Saturday night.

The first period was an absolutely even contest, with the home side’s experienced players leaving no doubt that they would be ruthless in exploiting any mistakes. And so they did, on 10. Oroszi scored in the first minute (fortunately, it was the last 1 minute of the match that our opponent took the lead), but the answer came soon, our captain Matyi Odnoga, who is recovering from illness, equalized in less than 50 seconds. No more goals were scored until the break, so we had a clean sheet in the 2nd leg. in thirds.

At this stage, the teams managed to score much more often, we started the “goal production” with Majoross and Odnoga, which was answered by Jászai. A give-and-go followed, where Papp countered first Tompos and then Gusarov , and Nesterov and Lévai had Németh’ s answer toNesterov’ s goal a few minutes before the end of the period.

By the last quarter of the game we managed to completely overpower our opponent and broke the Győr “goal bag”. Nagy Márk Nagy scored a triple, but Nesterov, Szalai, Tompos and Makovics also scored, setting the final score at 5:14.

The match was interesting in many ways:
Two of our young players, DONÁT SZALAI and ÁKOS TOMPOS scored their first goal in the Andersen League! Congratulations!
With this victory we are sure to finish the regular season of the Andersen League at the TOP of the table! Huge congratulations to the boys! We will play two more matches in the regular season (both at home), and then we will play the playoffs, where it is certain that we will play Lehel HC for the last 4!
