One of our 2 regular season defeats last season came against the Dél-Budai Farkasok in the Andersen League, and this season we did our best not to be surprised again. There was no shortage of matches this week, with a Hungarian Cup and EUHL match to be played, and “only” the Andersen League to go.

It didn’t take long for the first goal, as Csata Sebestyén let go an unexpected shot that surprised the visitors’ goalkeeper. In the first period you could feel our superiority on the ice, but we didn’t manage to convert our chances into more goals, and the Wolves could equalize from a well-played counterattack, and the boys could go to the break with this result.

In the second period, we didn’t leave anything to chance, we “broke in” in the first minute, Csata Sebi scored his second goal with another long range shot. At the end of the period, we had a double man advantage, which we managed to take advantage of: a well-traveled puck was bombed into the net by Márk Almási. Half a minute before the break we managed to increase our lead, Odnoga Mátyás shot from the blue line! into Bozsó’ s net.

The third period copied the previous one, but this time Benedek Madácsi scored in the first minute. From there on there was no stopping, Richárd Horváth, Sebestyén Csata and Beni Madácsi could increase our lead. The last minute of the match brought a real “fiesta”: first Szeredi could score after a nice counter attack, but half a minute later Barnabás Majoross was ruthlessly hit a rebound. It wasn’t over yet, from the attack from the midfield Csata Sebi shot his 4. goal to set the final score!

Once again we played very good hockey and we are unbeaten after 4 games in the Andersen League.

On Monday, the boys face another serious challenge, as Gladiators Trencin travel to us for a rematch in the EUHL.
