On 5 November we faced the biggest challenge of the season so far, visiting last year’s EUHL champions UMB in Banská Bystrica. We were without several of our key players (Benedek Madácsi, Botond Fekete, Martin Sipák), which didn’t make the situation any easier. The defending champion started with strong pressure, which they could keep up for 2 periods, thus deciding the match (4:1, 3:0).

It’s a real challenge for our team to adapt to the higher strength teams of the EUHL after the slower play in the Andersen Liga, but every game is a great opportunity for us to improve.
And the heart of Győr is always 100% on the ice.
