In the regular season, UNI GYŐR ETO HC Andersen League team lost twice out of 16 games, and in the end they won 8 games in a row. The first opponent in the playoffs will be the eighth-placed LEHEL HC, the two-legged match will start in Győr on Wednesday, February 15 at 19:00. The continuation will take place on 21 February at 19:35 in Jászberény.
There are few indicators in the Andersen League regular season in which the team or one of our players is not in the lead. We scored the most goals, 110 in all, and, just as pleasingly, we scored the fewest (38). Marek Nagy scored 27 times in the regular season and, including assists, finished with 46 points, 13 ahead of everyone else. In goal, Martin Szeles and Ákos Mészáros were both well above 90%.
Of course we can still improve our game, we are in the middle of the league in terms of the number of conceded shots, although we are by far the best defenders in the league. We did not score 59 times out of 65 man-advantages! It’s also true that we have one of the worst man-advantage statistics, 9 out of 10 man-advantages we couldn’t convert.
The schedule for the playoffs is to first beat LEHEL HC twice, then 3 games to reach the final, as well as the final with 3 games to crown the champion at the end of March.
