On Saturday night the Andersen League season started for us, we hosted the Sportországi Cápák at the Győr Ice Sports Centre.

We started the game with confidence, we could put our opponent under pressure early, but we had to wait 5 minutes for the first goal, which was scored by our coach-player Mátyás Odnoga. From then on there was no stopping them, they managed to entertain the crowd with great goals. Majoross made his debut in the first period with his first goal, and Jábor started his great march with 2 goals.

In the second half you could feel that our team was going to dominate the whole match, but we had to wait for the first goal, our young rookie Csata Sebestyén scored his first goal in the league. After that Rusznyak ‘s net did not “rest” much, we managed to put the puck behind the goal line 6 more times. 10. After our 10. goal(Richárd Horváth), the timekeeping switched to the so-called “running clock”, and the counter continued to count even at stoppages of play.

The last period continued the series with 3 goals, but the visitors were able to use their only man advantage in the period and score their goal of honour thanks to Hunor András.

The boys showed a great game, this precise, decisive movement has to be taken on the pitch regardless of the opponent.

We won’t be bored in week 9, on Tuesday (09.10.) we have a Hungarian Cup rematch against Lehel HC, on Thursday (09.12.) we play an away EUHL game against UMB, and on Saturday (09.14.) we host Andersen League newcomer Vasas.
