In our first game of the year we were guests of FTC, and after the (overwhelming) home win at the beginning of the season we had every reason to hope for a successful start to the New Year.
The home side started the game at a tight tempo, but we managed to pick up the pace. Although there were a lot of shots from both sides, our goalkeeper was great, so we went to the break with a one goal lead with a successful goal by Richárd Horváth.
Unfortunately, it has to be mentioned that this match was mostly about sending offs, with a total of almost 90 minutes of penalties. In the second half, as throughout the game, we managed to maintain a solid defence, and with a goal from Petr Karpov we increased our lead to 2 against the capital team.
In the last period we managed to take full control of the ice, with Márk Nagy ‘s double and Márk Almási’ s goal we confidently took the 3 points. Our goalie Martin Szeles ended this game with a shutout!
