Against Zsolna there was no question.

On Friday night we played our second match at the UNI GYŐR HOCKEY CUP, where our opponent was HC UNIZA from Szolnok.

The first period was really evenly matched, but unlike against the Sabers, we managed to make better use of our chances. In the seventh minute, Benedek Madácsi fired a shot from mid-range that found its way into the visitors’ goal. 1-0
7 minutes later Bendegúz Jábor Bendegúz positioned himself well and scored a rebound from behind the goal. 2-0
It looked like the boys could go into the break with this result, but 40 seconds before the whistle, Nikita Bogdanov scored with a nice counter attack. 3-0

The second period also started great for our team, in the first minute István Szűcs scored a wonderful solo effort from our own third. 4-0
Halfway through the period, Jábor Bendegúz’s shot bounced off a defender, increasing our lead to 5. 5-0
Less than a minute and a half later, Jábor Bendegúz again had the main role, he managed to break Zsolna’s defence with a very positional play and as it turned out later, set the final score. 6-0

By the last period, the visitors’ momentum was noticeably broken, but we could not convert the pressure into a goal.

The defeat the day before didn’t show on the team, the boys showed a great fighting spirit and confidently took the 3 points.
Our young goalkeeper, Noah Aaron Simo saved 32 shots out of 32, making a beautiful save. Congratulations!
