On Saturday night, one of the “newcomers” of the Andersen League<\/strong>, the \u00d3buda Hockey Academy<\/strong>, took to the ice at the Gy\u0151r Ice Sports Centre. We are still unbeaten at the top of the table, so there was no question that the goal was to get 3 points at home.<\/p>\n

This mentality was reflected from the very first minute, we put the capital’s goal under a lot of pressure and we didn’t have to wait too long for the first goal. In the sixth minute, M\u00e1ty\u00e1s Odnoga<\/strong> put the puck in between 3 defenders and successfully finished the action. Just five minutes later we could increase our lead, Benedek Mad\u00e1csi gave a very nice pass to the empty Majoross Barnabas<\/strong>, who bombed an uncontested shot into the short corner. There were no more goals in the third period, although there was no lack of shots on goal from Gy\u0151r.<\/p>\n

In the second half the game remained the same and again in the sixth minute Gy\u0151r scored their first goal, D\u00e1niel Cs\u00f6lle<\/strong> scored from a well-played man advantage with a great long range finish. The similarity between the two periods did not end there, another home goal arrived in five minutes, Benedek Mad\u00e1csi<\/strong> also “said hello”. No more goals were scored in this period, and the boys went into the break with a comfortable lead before the last period.<\/p>\n

In the third period, the visitors managed to score their cosmetic goal, using their man advantage well through D\u00e1niel Nagy<\/em>. There was still some excitement left for the endgame, a minute and a half before the final whistle, Bence Makovics found the empty-netter Norbert L\u00e9vai<\/strong>, who is not used to making mistakes in such situations.<\/p>\n

Once again, the home crowd could see a confident team, we maintained control of the game throughout.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This form will be needed again on Wednesday at 18:30, when UMB from Bansk\u00e1 Bystrica will come to Gy\u0151r for an EUHL match.<\/strong><\/p>\n
